It is quite rare that you see original posters like this one WWI Poster by Gordon Grant, noted marine artist. "Will you supply eyes for the Navy", 21"x29", this specimen has the superb provenance of once being part of the collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and has the rubber stamp imprint on the back attesting to this collection. A most interesting and unique issue, it was published to promote a campaign for citizens to loan their binoculars and spy glasses to the war effort. These were tagged and returned at the end of the war. On older linen mount, mounted close to WWI, the mount is in excellent condition and archival. The poster had some damage before the mounting,showing faint evidence of a tear down from the top to the man's head, and a few horizontal wrinkles in the upper section. But otherwise, in excellent shape, perfect color and very fresh. A rare poster and hard to find this nice, as it is on slightly stiffer paper than most WWI posters. Thanks to the ebay seller for the information about this vintage poster and Ozzie hopes it finds a good home.

US Navy Deck Jacket Hooks

1930's to WWII 1st Issue N-1 US Navy Deck Jacket

Made on contract for the US Navy towards the beginning of WWII. It features metal hook closures down the front, instead of the standard issue zipper of most N-1 deck jackets. The pockets D-shaped and known as D Pockets. The inside lining is navy blue wool. These jackets are very rare, the main reason is that the clips would rot and rust, even in this condition you will see them sell for well over a $1000. We all had a great time at the launch of Jeff Deckers belt buckles at the RRL Store, Double RL & Co on Melrose in Los Angeles, USA - it was also great to see some of Jeffs great creations and this beautiful Harley Davidson Hill Climber that is in his collection.
